White Coffee

Since we were in Ipoh, we decided to have our breakfast here.

This is where the original Old Town White Coffee gained its fame.

Look at the coffee. Done just nicely.

The aroma simply tantalized your being.

The taste? The ‘bitterness’ part of the coffee is right spot on. It does explain why everyone is going after the coffee. The ’sweet’ part of the coffee is a tad too high for my taste bud though, but easily overlooked.

What do you want to take for breakfast, with this coffee?

Oh yes. Don’t miss this. You have to savour it to know the difference.

Simple Thing

When I was in Ipoh, I ordered this caramel egg.
(焦糖炖蛋)

Mum suddenly said: 40-50 years ago, my uncle ordered the same thing for me, in this same shop!

It amazed me that a simple recipe like this is able to withstand changes through the years.

It also made one realised: it is this sort of simple thing that sticks in ones memory.

Sometimes you can’t help but wonder why are we wasting time chasing after the extravaganza in life?

I must say that I was really surprised when I got this award from the nice NUX. Thank you so much. I felt so guilty now, as I have not been leaving comment in your blog as frequent as I should have :P

So now I should nominate 5 blogs.
Nah. I will just name two.

Obviously that goes to

This is not really a blog, but rather a series of notes from Kopi Soh.
Duh. Who cares. She really writes interesting articles.

2) Eastcoastlife.
Who can claim to write more creatively than this lady? She even give you a 60″ LG Plasma TV if you read her blog frequently, haha.

Iron Man

iron man

I watched Iron Man few days back.

Do I like it? No.

The pace was far too slow. He was captured and kept in the cave for soooo long that I almost felt like urging the director to change the title to Cave Man.

Humor was sorely lacking in this movie. The whole damn movie felt very heavy. Please, this is not a Gotham City.

In case the director has forgotten how to make such movie, let us remind him: Action, Hero, More action, Pretty and Witty Lady, Even more action.

This movie pales even when compare to TV series, example : season premier of Knight Rider 2008, which sticks to a simple plot and an even simple formula.

Rating of Iron Man Movie: Poor

Selamat Hari Raya

Selamat Hari Raya to everyone who celebrate this festival.

I went to pump petrol this morning, as I need to travel back to Ipoh tomorrow morning.

To my surprise, most of the pumps were out of service. Apparently the petrol station ran out of petrol.

My rough estimation was: 12 out of the 14 V-power were out, as were 5 out of the 14 RON 97.

Luckily I had gone early. Probably by afternoon, all the petrol would be sold out?

Spot A Blogger

How do you spot a blogger within a crowd?

Last night, I was attending a bloggers’ gathering.

While I was yapping away, I noticed there was a lady sitting at the next table who took out her camera. She was not taking any photo of the dishes being served. Instead, she was snapping a shot of the paper napkin!

Something like this.

I guess anyone could tell that she probably is a blogger.

When I almost decided to smile at her, suddenly I noticed there was someone else (sitting at yet another table) also doing the same thing!

Wow. There are really a lot of Malaysian bloggers around.
