Fate?

You believe in fate?

Two ladies came for interview a couple of weeks ago (on different day). I promised to call them should any vacancy appear.

I just pinned their contact numbers on a board.

Then my part time nurse decided to quit. At random, I picked up one of the number and started dialling.

fate

She did not pick up the phone. I looked at the number. Oh? That appear to be the 2nd nurse who turned up for interview. Why did I pick the 2nd nurse? No idea.

I decided to call the first candidate then. She picked up almost immediately, and obviously she got the job.

15 minutes later, the 2nd nurse returned my call. She sounded so happy on the phone : You called me to give me a job?

I … I … how should I tell her? Fate not on her side?

It’s all about timing. So who did you employ in the end?

Just say sorry, the job’s taken. There is a reason for this to happen and maybe we can call it fate.

Ask the 2nd nurse if she would like to volunteer herself for your clinical trials since you’ve got no more vacancy. Muahahahaa! *evil laughter*
