Why did you continue?

Posted in Uncategorized on Oct 23rd, 2008, 7:29 pm by yenjai.

Multiple tags had been passed around, asking why had you started blogging.

The weird thing is, even though there are millions of ‘writers’ who join the blogging world daily, there too are tens of thousands who stop.

I am sure you have scores of ‘dead links’ which you frequented daily. Sadly, for a lack of better phrase, they have ‘moved on with their lives’ and not gonna write anymore.

Now the question is, why had you … plough on?

What differentiate us from those that had stop?

Rephrase: How did you keep the flame burning?

why did you continue

Maybe you can leave a few of your thoughts?

    yenjai,
I blog to keep in touch with my blogger friends and also, to jot down part of my life down as a memory. I think that’s it?

All this time after reading each other blogs, it’s like we’ve gotten to know each other and laugh together. To me, connection with people is the main reason I continue blogging.

Ditto with Adino. I have get to know several strangers via blogs and many have now become my friends, and some become good buddies. Although quite a number of them have stopped blogging already or slowed down.. Connecting with others is a main drive, and also not forgetting, it’s a place for sharing with others.. my thoughts and the photos i took.

Seriously, it’s because I’ve always wanted to be a writer (whether I’m good at it or totally suck is another subject matter). And now I can in a blog of my own, with no editor to tell me what to write. And even if no one reads anything I put out I won’t be fired :)
I think I’m going to continue writing. If my posts are infrequent it’s because I’m having a bitchy time at home and work. Besides, I thrive on the virtual “connection” with you guys!!! :D
