A police beat base located in the Chow Kit area has been shut down.
The reason?
I quote the speech of Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar:
The presence of criminals posed a threat to the safety of police officers.
The beat base was located in a dirty area where police faced the possibility of being exposed to contagious diseases.
Duh.
So the presence of criminals is now a threat to the safety of police officers?
But I guess the Minister will still say the area is safe for us, the normal clueless citizen, eh?
Perhaps we choose to have policemen, just so they can escort the honourable Minister around town?
Next time around, maybe soldier will refuse to go to war, because war zone is just too risky?

That’s ridiculous. Is that so, Malaysia is getting more useless? Haihhh….
Next time they will advice us to hire ex-guerrilla fighter to escort us into town for our safety. Just like how they are advising people not to carry handbags around, hire security for neighbourhood
