Wrong Impression

There was a man who came with a gaping wound on his scalp 2 weeks ago.

While I was attending to him, I asked: How did you acquire such wound?

He just smiled.

I probed: Did someone knocked you on your head?

wrong impression

He replied sheepishly: Something like that.

When I was finishing my job, I enquired lightly: So you are not going to make a police report on him?

He replied gently: Nah. Forget it.

(I secretly thought to myself: What a nice man! )

So he left. I reminded him before he exit the door: Come back in 10 days to remove the stitches.

I totally forgotten about him until today. He turned up for stitch removal. Looking back at the record, I told him: Eh? You are late.

He replied: Yeah, I spent the last few days in police lock-up.

Stunned, I asked: What happened?

He laughed: That man made a police report.

Damn! Wrong Impression!
