Mobile Number Portability

From today onwards, if you decided to switch network for your handphone, you will be able to retain your phone number.

It will be extended to all prepaid phone numbers in Klang Valley.

Post paid users will have this service in two weeks time.

Service provider is allowed to charge up to Rm25 per switching.

The nationwide launch for the MNP will be done in October.

Now, anyone decided to switch plan?

    We have this arrangement in Singapore too and it helped to retained old customers. I didn’t switch.

    most of us in Singapore not switching Telco now, becos of mobile phone contract. Given 1-2 years time when mobile phone contracts are ending, then will see how many mobile users switch telco. according to one news report, SingTel is offering upto $600 worth of handset to get new customers ..

    i am not thinking to switch my telco…
    but rather applying new service with Digi, since they offer better rate…

    No wonder la … Digi gave me a new N78! :-)

    I didn’t realise what the retail price was until i walked into a Nokia shop to ask the sales person about a feature on the phone.

    BTW, I could tell he was kelentonging me, so i said forget it. I later looked up N78 on youtube and found out a lot about the phone from there. Youtube can be the next reference resource d la. :-P
