sam tet secondary school

That is a photo of my secondary school, Sam Tet, Ipoh.

Why am I suddenly looking at that photo?

When I was walking with a tray of food yesterday in Midvalley food court, my son trotting beside me, suddenly a man appeared and asked: Do you recognize me?

Looking at his face, I really has no recollection at all of having met this man in the past. (Not that my memory of any faces is anything to boast of)

I almost walked off when his voice triggered something in my memory and a name leaped into my mind! He was my secondary schoolmate!

Taking a second look at his face, no wonder I could not recognized him at all. He looked so different from the image in my mind. I mean, we are talking about 18 years of gap. That was how much time had disappeared from the time  we last said goodbye to each other.

More amazingly, was how my brain could kept a register of his voice imprint. Just by his few words, it could immediately linked the voice to his name. Talk about wonders of life.

    cbenc12, I am amazed too
But that seemed to be the truth
Most of my friend can recognized me within an instant, even after more than 20 years of lapse of contact

A girl student of 18 would have blossomed into a sphisticated lady after 18 years. My point being that it is easier to recognise guys compared to girls, agree?
