Simple maths

I frequently has patients behaving just like the gentleman two days ago:

Patient: Doctor, this is my insurance claim form.

Doctor busy filling-up all the information on to the form.

Patient: Err… that day … you charged me Rm85. Is it possible to issue me a receipt of Rm700 ?

Doctor simply raised his eyebrow, giving this patient a disapproving look.

Patient: My agent told me I can easily claim up to Rm600. So you think Rm600 is possible?

Sigh.

Why can’t anyone see the simple mathematics? If you increase the amount you claim illogicaly, don’t you think the insurance company will just raise the premium without missing a heartbeat? Who do you think lose out in the end, you or the insurance company?

then u got give it to him or not? can insurance company simply increase the premium? i tot it’s fixed..

  15. July 24th, 2008 | 10:27 am

wuching, it is not about law abiding
It is talking about bringing down the whole system of insurance, if you are not being careful

cbenc12, obviously I didn’t give it to him
Premium is fixed? Not really, right?
Whenever they come up with new plan, it is always with a new premium, right?
One of the factor they used to calculate this premium obviously is the claim submitted
