After reading the pointed remarks thrown at ECL, I think I have similar experience to share.
No, obviously young petite sweet-till-you-melt ladies will not be pushing slimming or facial package into my face.
But don’t be surprise, the promoters for a kind of product will literally leap and run towards me whenever I pass by their booth.
What product?

Oh yes. Those products targeting bald people.
You will see their eyes really brighten up, the smile suddenly appear on their faces, and they walked with a certain spring on their feet towards me.
I usually just shake my head before they even come within 5 feets.
This will be when all the unpleasantness starts. Some of the ‘kinder / less forward’ promoters will snigger and turn back. Some of the more ‘direct’ promoters will throw some really pointed remarks at me: … but you … (remarks censored just in case it will offend other bald people like me)
I am way pass caring what they said about me. I just wonder how can people be so insensitive.

What in their mind is only..
how to get more customers and how to make more $$$
Well, What goes around come around…
You’d be surprised what some people would say to make a sale. Just makes you wonder, how can they not see that offending the customer means no sale?!
Pat pat Yenjai on the head…
I believe people like them will get their punishment one day.
yenjai, you should just look them in the eye and say, are you saying i’m BALD loudly, and make a scene out of it, like those osim ppl or those other brands, i am damn pissed at them
Sigh….. they need to go for Manners 101 class.
how come this dcyk..so pissed? Just ignore lor..like yenjai says!
actually, i am damn sked to go near beauty saloons..they will say, “WAHHHH YOUR PORES SO BIG ONE”.
I also sked to go into hair saloons, they will say, “WAHHHH SO MANY WHITE HAIR/DANDRUFF!! COME COME I DO TREATMENT”
ALL IN LOUD LOUD VOICE!
wahliao…so dem shy lerr…
Poor yenjai. Come come…. jiejie sayang.
I’m used to such pointed remarks lah and it is good training ground to practice my 三字经. haha….
For me, the favourite of the “make your hair darker” salesgirls is “Uncle, this hair cream will help to darken your white hair”.
My immediate repartee is, “It’s not white enough, I would like it to be whiter”.
In fact, I do not feel embarrassed at all by their tactics; they were put off more than me!
