File selection

I will share two tricks for file selection in your Window Explorer.

First, to select a few consecutive files, as shown.

file selection

I guess everyone already know that.

Just click on the first file, then hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard, and click on the last file with your mouse. Every file from the first file to the last file will be selected. Simple, right?

The problem now, is what if those files aren’t consecutive? Say you want to select files like those shown?

For non-consecutive file, we should use the Ctrl key.

Click on the first file, hold down the Ctrl key, then use the mouse to select the intended files.

Convenient?

When holding CTRL key to select multiple files, try not to drag to empty place because it will make copies…
Other than that, if majorities of files is needed, just press CTRL+A, it will select all the files, just hold the CTRL key and de-select unwanted files, it can save a lot of time on clicking every files u want…
