Growing up in an Asian family, I am sure everyone of us are used to the mantra: Study hard, then only you can survive in society
As the jobs become more diversify, some of us may decide to venture into some ‘non-traditional’ line of job.
How would the parent react?
Of course, as parent, we are supposed to say YES to them, and let them decide their own future.
Will you say Yes, if your daughter decide to follow her step, too?

Akari Arimura, 22, a dentist by training, said she had always wanted to be a top-class umbrella girl.
“Until three years ago, I worked as a dentist. I gave it up as I felt I needed a change, something more exciting and fun,” she said.
*Update: I forget to mention that the girl on the right is Arimura*

As long as it’s not something illegal
Ah chen is so liberal
I’d say good on her! It’s not easy to follow your dream through the critical eyes of our society.
I wanted to be a porn star but I’m not good looking enough; I don’t have nice muscular body and my KKJ not big enough! *bawls*
Definitely CANNOT!
Adino, now you are speaking like a parent
Thinking about your little girl?
LOL
Arimura should be page 3 girl!!
I’ll see dentist more often if all the dentist are like Arimura..
umbrella girl is better than the sophia yusuf right?
Yenjai,
Can I ask when will Eve come back to the blogsphere? I miss her blog badly.
JiaEng, I will convey your message to her
But as far as I can tell, she won’t be blogging for … sometime
If my daughter is as beautiful as her… and as smart too!
This is far better than smelling bad breath and looking at caries!
