No need petrol

What do we wish for in this current era? Jimbo may have listed out quite a few things he would have done, but I would list only one: A car which only require water.

zero emission car

This is the new Honda FCX Clarity, which runs on hydrogen and electricity, emits only water and none of the noxious fumes. It is also two times more energy efficient than a gas-electric hybrid and three times that of a standard gasoline-powered car.

The fuel cell draws on energy synthesized through a chemical reaction between hydrogen gas and oxygen in the air, and a lithium-ion battery pack provides supplemental power.

The 3,600-pound vehicle can reach speeds up to 100 miles per hour.

I want! I want! But I doubt it will ever reach our shores and with our annual haze, the car will probably die on the highway! :(

I don’t think it runs on water, but compressed hydrogen gas :P

Nice concept…but I’m sure it’ll cost a bomb, way beyond reach of the average wage earners.

I think it runs by water and it emits water as a by product, so doesn’t create any environmental hazards…Waiting for its debut in Msia!

How to recharge it? Perhaps the special hydrogen costs more than petrol…
