After knowing that we can actually top-up our Touch N Go card in Shell petrol station, today I went there to do it.

Cashier: Boss, how much?
Me: RM60
Cashier: Boss, only Rm50 or Rm10. Or … you want me to top up Rm50 followed by Rm10?
I started to wonder why this guy even need to ask me this question. Wasn’t that pretty obvious the thing that should be done?
I grumpily agreed to his question.
The hard truth only hit me when I look at the receipts.
Apparently, 50 cents will be charged per transaction, regardless of the amount.
So while I only paid 1% for the first transaction, I paid a hefty 5% for the second transaction.
Dumb me.

It’s a pretty dumb rule, if you ask me. Why can’t they just allow you to top up any amount in a single transaction? It’s all computerized anyway…
haha~~ it’s kinda expensive to top up only RM10.
I usually top up at the KTM counter, it’s free of charge. :p
never mind lah.. look at the brighter side

can’t buy much with 50 cents leh..
at least we learn something here..
and next time u know how to top up loh..
never mind lah, all go for good use; all for government!
gee, i dont even know about this…
i’ve bought my smart tag year ago, but never use it…
jooyee, maybe sell to me half price?
and u think he so stoop to ask u first right? heheh
Can also top up at ATM machine, not sure how much a transaction charge is though.
