I am currently reading this book.

weapons of choice

Weapons of Choice from John Birmingham.

This is a science / war fiction : In the year 2021, a Task force comprising aircraft carrier and stealth cruisers, due to a mistake by a nearby scientific research vesel, was transported back to 1943.

To make it worst, they ‘appear’ in the middle of Task Force 17 which is preparing for a war. Monumental mistake! (Or what the Navy would call a clusterf***). They opened fire on each other …

John Birmingham really has good writing skill. He manage to inject humour into all the tense moments. His imagination of all the future weapon systems is amazing. I concur with one of the review : A real page turner

    All of them! I think you can get his books for cheap at PayLessBooks. His books are mostly about air force theme, so I’m guessing you would be interested.
