digital fortress

I guess everyone who likes reading would have read this book some years back, except me, who is perpetually slow. I don’t need to elaborate more about Dan Brown, who wrote the hugely famous book: Da Vinci Code.

On the surface, the book is about encryption and decryption. Should you actually read the book, then you would realised it is in fact about the stories of three person: Susan Fletcher, Commander Trevor J. Strathmore and Ensei Tankado.

Dan Brown did a brilliant job in building these three characters. You can literally picture in your mind these three powerful projection of life.

More interestingly, though David Becker is supposed to be the ‘lead character’ in the book, not much is written about him. Don’t get me wrong. He was involved in plenty of actions. He just … lack … character. We would have much easier time remembering names like Midge Milken and Chad Brinkehoff.

Hmm… learn something here … write (plenty) about something but not telling much about it …

Yup read this during my confinement for Qi - more than 2 years ago. Can’t remember anything about the story now but I do remember enjoying it.

Am reading the “A Thousand Splendid Suns” right now and if you have read his first book - I think this is even more absorbing.
