After its directive to the village heads to boycott a state government function on Tuesday went unheeded, the Perak Village Heads Association has called on its 776-strong members to resign en bloc.
Its chairman Sukiman Jalil said the association, which made the decision over two meetings recently, was collecting the resignation letters to be submitted to the state government.
“Don’t worry about your allowance because we will be meeting the Rural and Regional Development Minister (Tan Sri Muhammad Muhamad Taib) over this. We will ensure that you will continue to get your allowance,” he said.
