Tang Yuan

As everyone else, yesterday we have to eat some ‘tang yuan’.

Wife did a plateful of these. ( I remmeber when I was young, my mum did all in same plain colour)

Then we cook up some ‘tang shui’ (sweet broth) to go with it.

    Yenjai, so do you feel one year older after eating the ‘tong yuen”? I went over to my sis ’s place to have mine this year

    Fibrate, don’t they feel hard after being chilled? I prefer mine unchilled

    No, I didn’t eat any Tang Yuan this year

    However, I prefer to eat in soya bean drink, is nice ..
    don’t like the “sweet water” version

    Actually once they’re chilled, they’re fluffy outside but kinda hard inside. Nice to chew on and then having all the gooey bits stuck in your teeth!

    Long time din eat Tang Yuan after my grand mum passed away for 3 years..

    happy dongzhi! i used to help mom make those tang yuan too..she always complaint my tang yuan not yuan enough hahaha..
