Women’s… right?

Sigh.

Maybe I shouldn’t touch on this topic?

Kubang Kerian delegate Datuk Zaleha Hussin said the uniform (of AirAsia) was an embarrassment to women.

airasia uniform

Zaleha: The provocative uniform must be changed to something reflective of Eastern values and which complies with the values of Islam.

She gasped: “Legs, knees and thighs are exposed for all to see. This is an embarrassment to women. Something must be done.”

Zaleha: She [referring to her ‘embarrassed’ friend] said a flight attendant sat in front of her and she could see her legs, thighs and knees. She was so embarrassed!

Now comes the (I ran out of description for him) Umno deputy permanent chairman Badruddin Amiruldin, who was presiding over the session.

Badruddin: Did she see the tunnel?

Tell me this is not blatant sexual harrassment? In a public forum?

And all the ladies just agreed on his speech?

If women start ridiculing each others on what their clothes cover (or uncover), then … how can anyone defend women’s right?

    what a hideous comment!

in my opinion, I think the uniform is decent, I don’t see any sexiness in it at all!

Uh oh. I must be a disgrace too then. My hemline just skims the upper border of my patella, exposing my ugly (and possibly obscene) knees for all to see.

Don’t know what really happened in this incident but while I disagree with the lady delegate - why must they be so narrow minded about this - I am more disturbed by the response from the Chairman.

Shame on him and shame on the others for not protesting to this kind of derogatory remark.

The uniform of Air Asia quite nice for me, if wear them in proper way. BUT I saw some stewardess purposely open a few button to show their “sexiness”…

Sigh……these ppl. Dunno lar wat to say. I thought those uniforms were fairly decent also incase of emergency landings i mean wearing kebayas are really not the most practical, if that’s what they want them to do.

Sometimes, i feel they very childish…
Only see legs, knees and thighs only, what a big deal ?…
I also always let people see me legs, knees and thighs also… do i need to feel embarrassed ?
If woman need to cover up their like a ninja ( only can see eyes ), then i think most of the people in the world do not want to become women anymore…. haha
I think must be her hubby like to take air asia rather than MAs….
They never take Japan flight b4…
