There is a section in a local radio station, where people call in to complain about all sorts of thing.
When it started a couple of months ago, those complaints seemed ‘legitimate’, mostly involving something ‘overlooked’ by local authorities.
Usually, with the help of this radio station (and a newspaper), the issues will be solved rather quick.
A couple of months down the road, the complains that come in started to become ridiculous. Some of those complain are just too bizarre.
This morning, there was this lady who complain about the lamp post in front of her house.
I would think that she groused about the lamp post, either because it blocks her house entrance, or the light had gone out.
But no, I was wrong!
She complain: The light is too bright, and it disturb her sleep!
Gosh! What is happening to the world? Here I am talking to everyone, hoping that they will be installing more lamp post along my road. I guess I don’t need to illustrate how ‘lighting up’ the whole area will reduce crime, of all sort.
This lady is complaining about the lamp being too bright? Excuse me, lady, do you have a curtain in your house?
HAHAHAHAAHH!! Light pollution mah…!!!!!!!

People will always complain, no matter what. And it takes a lifetime to really educate these people to be a little more selfless..
Hey, I have the same problem as this lady! The zealousness here to try to make night like day! I say, throw away the lampposts, do away with most road/street lights so that driving can be more focussed on the road. You know, probably the next car generations here in kiasuland would not need headlights anymore.
Can I complain too? I have a stadium outside my condo, and the spot lights shine so bright on match days… sometimes I don’t have to use my living room lights.

geee.. i think i have prob like tis lady who complaint as my room is directly facing the lamp post.. so bright even wif the curtain. but i am not going to complain la, coz i am grateful with it. else the road in front of my house will be dark at nite~

Yup, when you have an avenue for people to air their grouses, they abuse it. Some people just don’t use their brains first before opening their mouths.
But then, do the authorities listen to constructive comments?
