.This week theme - PLASTIC

With two kids at home, every night before we sleep we have to shout the same phrase: Put your toys back into the plastic containers.

photo hunters plastic

Kids being kids, there will always be some nights where all the toys are still scattered everywhere after they gone to sleep. We are left to literally pick up the pieces.

Obviously, there is another kind of plastic container in the house.

Yes. Tupperware of course.

Nice photos! I am trying to phase out of my Tupperware and move to glass ones! I got to a point recently where I started to hate plastic! This theme is reminding me why!

  6. September 15th, 2007 | 9:32 am

Ahh yes, those plastic toy bins. I need some of those. The playroom is a mess. Great shot!

  9. September 15th, 2007 | 9:52 am

I really like those storage containers and the way they are organized. I like tupperware, but stopped buying it many years ago when it seemed more economical to just reuse plastic food containers. Pollywog Creek’s Plastic PhotoHunt

  13. September 15th, 2007 | 10:22 am

  14. September 15th, 2007 | 10:29 am

What did we ever do without plastics?! I love plastic bins for kid’s things and plastic bowls with tops that fit.

  17. September 15th, 2007 | 11:21 am

Ah yes, I remember the toys all over the place every night when my kids were young. They had a big plastic toybox to put them in but they just never seemed to get around to it so I ended up picking them up every night!

  18. September 15th, 2007 | 11:50 am

    fabulous

  19. September 15th, 2007 | 12:25 pm

I think all parents have to remind their children to pick up the plastic toys and put them away. I know I am always doing it.

  20. September 15th, 2007 | 12:42 pm

It is good you have it all organized. Great thing to teach them young. Great photo and have a good weekend.

Nice storage. But enough anot? With 2 kids, definitely lots of toys. My son’s toys filled almost his whole room.

  28. September 15th, 2007 | 6:04 pm

Yenjai, talk about the toy .. where did you keep your toys huh?

  29. September 15th, 2007 | 7:39 pm

Last time when we were small, my sister would pour all her toys out on the floor and whenever Mum wants to sweep the floor, I would help her pick her toys. I didn’t normally play with toys, my job was to pick up after her, hahaha.. And we used to have the little green army, and my sister would arrange them as if they’re getting ready to shoot Mum, LOL.

My friends, who have kids, tell me that you can’t fight it. Kids will be kids and that means they will use their toys and forget to put them back where they belong. If you spend time picking up after them, you’ll never have time for anything else. So I guess they do kind of tidy up once a week?
