Went to Tesco last weekend.
Bought some groceries and clothing for kids. When we paying for those, the cashier ask for our parking ticket.
I asked: Free parking?
Cashier: Yes.
When I reached the parking lot, I tried inserting the ticket into the auto-pay machine.
It still charged me Rm4
Anyone knows how the system work? Scratching my head.
In Singapore, we get a dollar off parking fees in Carrefour. Not for the whole parking amount.
ECL In Ikea, we used to get RM1 off. Recently, they decided the waive the whole amount
In Jusco, it will be free as long as you have a Jusco card
Perhaps it was RM5 and they gave u discount of RM1? Coz for Ikea, they deduct RM1 from your total Ikea Bill, and then u pay for it at the machine itself. Makes sense?
i tot usually the cashier will slide the parking ticket through a system and when u go to insert ur ticket at the parking area it will shows a zero value?
TESCO AMPANG IS FREE PARKING
Tesco & Jusco in Ipoh are all free parking…

You just need to give the parking ticket to the cashier while checking out and she will punch it in machine. Then as you go out , just slip the ticket in…No need to pay anything.
Only Parkson/Ipoh Parade need to pay RM1 ~~~
Now hardly to find free parking in Ipoh…
Everyway in town need to use coupon for parking…
