Safety is not important

I remember clearly, that only last week they have announced that school bus will not be allowed to be used as Express Bus.

Look at what happen now.

Express bus companies can use school or factory buses to provide additional service during the long weekend holidays in conjunction with the Merdeka celebration.

The Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) said the decision was made to ensure the public could travel easily during the holidays despite action taken by certain bus companies to suspend services due to the lack of drivers.

I guess getting killed is less important than getting home?

Well, the root cause is the driver, not the bus…

By the time holidays come, people will forget already. There will be other deaths, other promises, other bans… until the next cycle of deaths come. Do you believe that bloggers and tuition teachers are higher on the wanted list compared to rapists, murderers, thieves and corrupt officials?

Perhaps for them Merdeka was just another way to earn more money? Who cares if someone dies. Its not their family or children that will ride the bus. Its general people. Its just plain sad, but thats probably how things work.

Everywhere is the same lah, we ordinary folks have to suffer. The politicians don’t take public land transport. They are good at talking and coming out with new policies (seldom solution) whenever there’s a problem.
