Laugh or cry?

Today, a patient show me this.

laugh or cry

(sorry, it is quite blur)

(This is the front view. At the back, you can see some writing which looks like : Quantum Science)

She said: Doctor, you ever seen this? If not, you are outdated.

Wow. Immediately I felt like I have been living in some jungle for the last century. What is that piece of thingy doing there?

She continue jovially: Don’t be fool by the tiny size of it. If you hang it around your waist, close to your body, it can do wonders.

Me: Really? What is so great?

She suddenly turned serious: It can treat cancer, all sort. Diabetic status can be brought under control, without medication.

Me: Wow. You think so?

She continue with strength : Of course. When I carry it around, even I feel stronger, I can lift heavier object!

Me: Auntie, how much you paid for it?

Proudly she pronounce: If you buy a single piece, it will cost you Rm500. But I got discount because I bought more…

I’ve seen something similar as well, claims to do just about everything, as you said, bring sugar levels down, cholesterol levels down, cure knee pain, arthritis. And the best of all, if you have no illnesses, it makes your complexion better, liver spots disappear, no liver spots? Never mind, “it will make your cheeks rosier!” (paraphrased quote from the MLM lady)
What is interesting is that she, and the other people she influenced, are educated people, and even one pharmacist! And they truly believe in its efficacy.
