I noticed that quite a few bookstores are organizing breakfast, for those early buyers of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Anyone wanna go together? JOM makan breakfast.
MPH: Breakfast and activities @ Mid Valley, 1 Utama, Subang Parade and Kinta City (Ipoh) (7.15am)
Popular: Launch party @ Ikano Power Centre outlet between 7.15am and 9.45am. You could could pay to have their photographs taken with Harry Potter characters and take part in quiz sessions.
Borders: First 20 customers who buy the book will get a RM30 cash rebate, while the first 50 buyers get to enjoy a complimentary breakfast at Starbucks.
p/s How can Carrefour and Tesco sell the book at such low price?!

Marketing. Marketing. Harry Potter’s getting boring. The sixth book was written so crappily.
jonzz Only the sixth?
I thought all the books after the 3rd are … fillers
The good ones?
1st and 3rd

Why do people wanna get into long queues and be amongst the first to get the book ah?? Wait for a day, skip the long queues… ahh… life is good.
YP Maybe because you get discount? Malaysian mentality
after u bought yours, i borrow to photocopy ok?
wuching Should I say … bleh?
now you know the bookstores make at least RM40 per book.
Tesco & Carrefour selling at RM69, while major bookstores selling at 109.
not say I don’t tell you, the free download version is already available.
what? 6 already?
I couldn’t go pass no.3 la.. I don’t know why…
hanneng Thanks. I will buy the book and keep
mott Actually is number 7
No3 is the best book, in my opinion.
From there, it goes downhill, all the way
Exactly! I’m wondering the same thing…how can they sell it so cheap?? And all these major bookstores were taking orders a few months in advance, at a price of RM109!!!
I remember I bought the Victoria Beckham’s new book for my ex at full price, the next day I went to tesco, it was only 40% of the original price.
“£$(%!(£$%!&”£($*!
From then on, I buy almost everything from supermarket.
I have not read any of the book..only watched the movies
Tell me the ending after u read the book
Hey, i went to HyperM to buy. No queue… just a few ppl ahead of me , i went about 8.45am. But, if i couldn’t get the book, i would still buy at original price. So i think they shouldn’t have the boycott thingy loh.. Coz at the end of the day, the readers will suffer.
thats my 2 cents.

king’s wife It is a lousy business tactics from the hypermarkets. Leave a bad taste in my mouth
Eric Sigh. The hypermarket should not have gotten their hands on those books
winnie We all have our own favourites
chen Oh, you can easily get it off the net
cath-e Wow. You went so early? I respect you.
The hypermarket only has limited stock. And with the boycott now, I feared quite a few will be left with no book
Yes. The readers will suffer. But the blame is not on the bookstores.
Bought mine from Carrefour Subang Jaya this morning. There was a long queue.. i started queueing in 6.50am and end up getting my book at 7.50am..
Mich Welcome to my blog.
