Thin — Please stop

Regularly, we have heard that they are realising that having superthin models will have negative impact on the society.

Some countries even start to ban such models from the runway.

Obviously not enough had been done.

Lets look at these photos, from 2007/2008 Haute Couture.

Will it kills them to have more ‘fleshy’ and healthy looking models?

How many more women has to suffered, because of such skewed perception?

think the problem is more serious in asia countries..might be asian gals are more self conscious or might be asian guys are more demanding on their partners? Funny is that although in the western countries, u see alot of models as skinny as bamboo poles, still u can see woman who are more curvy or hv lots of flesh still wear bikini walking on beaches! and they hv clothings sizing range till UK size 40 even! Where to find that in most Asia countries ar???

Personal opinion, I think one possibility that Asian girls seem to be more affected could be because we still mengagung-agungkan Western culture and what we see in the media is about all the Western culture we ever see, never the real thing.

It’s awful what they do these days on the runways. And it’s even more disheartening to see that there are models who so willingly promote this message of unhealthiness to young girls.
Somebody has to start standing up for the welfare of our young.
I’m glad to hear that some countries have banned this though, I didn’t know about that before. *newspapers? Huh? what’s that? I get my news from blogs*
