Bad advertisement

What is the really bad advertisement for the last three months?

From Digi, of course.

It goes like this :

My son / daughter got 10 As, so I call my husband to tell him, call my mum to inform, and then call my ‘everything also must win’ neighbour to gloat ….

With Digi, I can call all I want …

Hey, though being kiasu is almost a culture, we don’t need to further glamourize it, ok?

I don’t really listen or watch advertisement, or I don’t remember them.
But I don’t like those advertisements that promote some bad cultures, especially among the kids. Some advertisements are like encouraging a competitive world among kids. Sometimes I think we are just walking backwards instead of improving ourselves….. :(

The other bad one is the 50/50… two people climbing up the mountain and face some trouble… then one of them ask “What’s the chance of surviving?”… “50/50?” *flap hands and fly*…

    What does that even mean?

Ya..that and the Astro Max (with the very silly mother) and the Disney (with the Kim Possible)..and the…

HA HA HA..too many to mention la. But if you really like watching ads, you must watch Ch11, on Sun 9-10pm, they show some of the best ads made!!!

kaka Yeah. That is as if ‘it is all commercial, nothing personal’ crap

Adino To top up Rm50, you stand a chance to be among the 50 lucky winners (to win a car). Yeah. That ad is silly, over the top

Mott Wow. Although I do pay quite a bit of attention to advertisement, I have not reach the stage (to tune into a specific channel just to watch advertisement). For that, I salute you

kiasu is not a very good culture, it will put a lot of pressure on young family and in particular, children.

it wasn’t like that when I left, what happened in these few years?

culture can’t just change like that?

It is not something not very proud of, it is something we should abandon.

Hahaha… a funny ad la… aiyaa.. it’s a commentary of our times la. Not encouraging “one-up-ed-ness” la.

BTW, anyone got the answers to Petronas’ ad competition or not. I haven’t been watching ads for a long time. Hehe.
