The state governments in Peninsular Malaysia gave the executive power to the Federal Government to take over solid waste management yesterday.This paves the way for the Government to table both the Solid Waste Management and Public Clean-up Bill and Solid Waste Management Corporation Bill in Parliament on July 2.
Accordingly, the rubbish that you need the city council to collect (in front of your house) will be charged, as per weight.
The rate has yet to be decided.
I guess by then, everyone will put in more effort to recycle all their household rubbish?

I guess they will try to produce enough recycling bins for us before they impose the charge
Over here in canada, recently the govt was saying to pay as per how much we throw. There will be 3 different size of recycle bins and the taxes we hv to pay will be set upon which size of recycle bins we use. I do think Canadians generally are pretty environmentally friendly, they do take their environmental issue pretty seriously..
