Pengsan With Cards

I have written this post after reading nyonyajie’s article.

credit card

One day, I asked my wife: Did you applied for a new credit card?

Wife: No. Why?

Me: You received a letter from bank, regarding your new credit card.

Wife started to think.

Me: Why would you want a new credit card when you already have a platinum card and a couple of gold cards?

Wife suddenly realised: Oh. The other day, when I was shopping, there was this young man who approached me. He pleaded me to sign this application for him. He needed the commision.

(In my heart, I was cursing this young man: This man must have used the same trick like that encountered by Firehorse. Tell her she look young and / pretty and she will fall for that. Sigh)

Of course, I said: Dear, you are so kind.

Then we proceed to pick up our son at the daycare.

Halfway through the car ride, she suddenly realised: Eh? So where is my new card?

I answered dead pan: According to the letter –

Dear customer, we regret to inform you that your application for the credit card had been rejected.

She was stunned.

Silence for 3 seconds …

Then both of us burst out laughing. Haha.

chen, Giant seemed to be the biggest ’supporter’ of such activity.
we practically have to ‘plough’ through a few barriers of them before we reach the entrace
