RAM oh ram (pt1)

Posted in Uncategorized on May 17th, 2007, 8:32 am by yenjai

I bought a PC in Feb.

After a few days of usage, it started showing weird signs. Programmes refused to get installed properly. The windows freezed on and off. I proceeded to reformat the Windows. The problems persisted.

The last straw was the appearance of “Blue screen of death”. I knew by then the RAM has problem.

A trip back to the shop with the PC confirmed it. The RAM had to be sent back for warranty.

(not this pair, I pinjam the photo)

Here came the part which really irked me. The shop won’t do a One-to-One swap. They insisted that I would have to wait for Kingston to check and return the RAM. For the time being, I will run … dry.

What?

The analogy is : You buy a new car. The dealer told you that your car is ready. The only slight problem is the manufacturer had recalled the engine. You are free to bring the car home, without engine. Kindly wait one month for the manufacturer to call you.

How would you feel?

I would be totally pissed off, and will not patronise them again. As for computers, I wouldnt even know when it died on me. Sometimes I press the reset button or I just shout, and either hubby fix it, or i tell him, old already, time to buy new one. We have 3 laptops sitting around, and i am not sure how or why they died on me!!

    well, the solution is simple

    GET A MAC!!!

I’ve been using mac for 6 months now…PROBLEM FREE!!!

not even a single FREEZE moment in 6 months

It might be a little expensive, but you get quality, reliability, virus free, elegance design and many more in return

How come the dealer is so irresponsible? he could have just changed for you, and he himself waiting for the returned RAM, right?
I thought nowadays you can negotiate with the computer shops easier, as there are too many computer shops around. Perhaps next time you should go to another shop and buy.
