What the … ?

Do you know what this is?

car remote control

For a couple of weeks, there was no response when I pressed on those buttons. It just decided to … sleep (or die).

Well, since there was no response, I decided to remove the battery from it. I just use the key to open the door, which lasted more than 2 months.

This morning, as a trend for bloggers, I have a moment of JIAK BA nothing to do. I reinserted the battery.

Hey, it functioned. I pressed on the Open/Shut button, and the door lock clicked ’shut’. Cool.

Then … aiyak.

remote control car

When I pressed button again, the lock didn’t respond. It didn’t unlock. The weird thing was, the signal lights on the car did blink! It mean the car manage to detect the signal from the remote, but the door just refuse to unlock. Hmm…

The other button on the remote? I guess you all know that it is the ‘ALARM’ button. It has nothing to do with Lock / Unlock.

Out of frustration, I pressed on that button.

Ehhh…. the door Unlock!!??!

Huh? Change function??! I removed the battery, and tried again. True enough. Now, one button become Lock, the other button is Unlock.

Damn… Did the two month of neglect too much for it to endure? Haha.

Get a locksmith to check on the transmiter code.

Maybe you should take your new remote to a carpark and try your luck. You may be surprised that it can unlock more than your car!

    ;)
