This morning, a gentleman came to the clinic.
“Doctor. I have a sprain back.”
While I am in the process of explaining the problem of sprain-back, he suddenly added in a casual tone: “By the way, I have been losing weight for the past 4 months. More than 7kg.”
Obviously, I got all worked up. Immediately, my focus shifted to the sudden weight lost. Before I was even into the second question, he interjected: ” No need to get all worked up. I just want to know if the supplement from Herbalife is good for me.”
Stunned, I ask: “Why are you taking Herbalife?”
Cordially: ” I heard herbalife is good to prevent cancer.”
Flabbergasted, I asked : “Looking at the weight lost, you suspect yourself is having cancer. The only thing you did is taking Herbalife? All you are interested is for me to tell you whether any other brand is better?”
He nodded.
Trying to get myself away from going into a debate, I try to focus on something else before going back to it.
“I noticed that you have a piece of paper stuck in your right ear. Any reason for that?”
He happily started to lecture me : “Oh. You don’t know. Handphone can cause tumour in your brain. This piece of paper can block the radiation! You should use too.”
Gosh. I am beaten. Flat. To a pulp.
