I went back to Kuantan (my IL’s place) for the Chinese New Year.
We had our reunion dinner on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year.
The dishes were nice.
I thought that it would be a quiet dinner. Ahh. Proven wrong!
When we were finishing the dishes, suddenly loud music started blasting from the speakers beside the stage. Dancers started appearing.
Sorry for the quality of the photo. I was sitting pretty far away, and I didn’t have access to tripod. I hope you can see their costume. This, I really ‘beh tahan’ (can’t stand it).
You know how weird it felt, to see such scantily clad lady belting out ‘chun tian lai’? It gives me the chills.
Luckily, some of the dancers are properly attired.
How much has reunion dinner evolved. For me, I still prefer an ordinary dinner without much hoo-haa.
Uahhh.. that’s cos your reunion dinner is at a posh hotel restaurant lo. Haha.
