Postman

During the last Christmas season, the postal service had been really erratic. Quite a few had complained to the press, stating that a lot of the mails had been missing, or posted to the wrong addresses.

postman

Myself? My cheque to Ambank had gone missing. They are charging me for overdue, as expected. I have to issue a new cheque for that. A statement send by my insurance company had not reach me, after 20 days!

Today, Pos Malaysia Uniformed Workers Union secretary-general Suffian Unoss revealed a piece of news. It was the confusing way that housing schemes were named and the numbering of streets and sections that contributed to the problem!

Among other things, he suggested that if a housing estate has 250 houses, then the houses should run that sequence, regardless of the street name.

This means:

If Jalan 20/1 has number 1-30, then the house number on 20/2 will start from 31.

Do you agree that it is a good suggestion?

There’s Oxford Road (and many more others) in almost every city/town/village in the UK.

It’s worth to look at how the postcode system work in UK.

Talk about post office service, the other day, Mom sent me a parcel from home (very precious, with photographs n stuffs in there). I was home the whole day but I supposed I was taking a shower when the postman came by and didnt hear the knock on the door..later in the evening, a neighbour knocked on our door and gave us back the parcel! The nice neighbour said,”most likely you were not home, the postman just left the parcel on the floor. I’m afraid someone will just come along and take it away so I took it back. Here it is” We are so grateful to this neighbour! Now What kind of a post service is this?!
