Speak clearly, please

I went to TTDI yesterday. (Taman Tun Dr Ismail, if you don’t know yet).

All because of our stupid bank system. The bank is “officially” operating, as it is not a public holiday. The problem is, yesterday was also Selangor Sultan birthday. All the branches of our bank was closed.

Don’t you think that is rather stupid? I will have to ‘cross border’ to bank in my cash.

Someone will suggest: Please use the cash deposit machines.

If you have live in Malaysia long enough, you will know that:

1) Not every branch has a cash deposit machine

2) All cash deposit machine will be out of service after a weekend

Anyway, I end up in TTDI safely. Now the tricky part. Where is Public Bank?

The obvious solution is to ask around. I parked my car and went into the 7 Eleven.

“Excuse me, do you know where is the Public Bank around here?”

“Ohh. Public Bank. Encik, you keluar kat sini, Public Bank itu dekat Balai Polis.”

“Mana itu Balai Polis?”

“Ehh, Balai Polis pun tak tahu mana?”

Look here, Mr. If I am from TTDI, I would not have ask direction from you, right?

Luckily a good samaritan inside the shop overheard me. He just say : ” Go onto the main road, past three traffic light, see the TNB substation, turn left, Public Bank will be on your right.”

See? So simple. Why can’t everyone speak as clearly as that?

Thanks to the good samaritan, if you happen to read this blog.

    –> I don’t know about this.
Perhaps I seldom use cash deposit machine, I always withdraw cash only. :p
I don’t know about Public Bank, but I think Maybank is quite good in the machine thingy.

Yeah, some people are just a bit ‘weird’…
they assume you know the same thing or think the same as them.
if you know where’s Balai Polis, probaby you’d have noticed public bank also, right? ^_^

Well yenjai if you have lived long enough in Malaysia you should have got used to this! Sorry just joking! Actually that is a inborn error in most malaysian - then again the cashier may not also be living in TTDI. Another common place for me is the shopping centres especially back home in Alor Setar - when you ask one of the salesgirls a question - it won’t only be translated but would have travelled across the shop and back with a respond and a finger pointing into the far “sana!.” Duh!

Guess some people dont’t know their right from their left, so they are poor at directions.
    btw, thanks for your directions!

Luckily the 7-11 guy didn’t say, “Balai polis pun tak tahu kat mana? Boleh kau rompak aku, polis akan datang dan bawa kau pergi ke balai polis untuk FREE!” hahaha!
