The Australian Parliament yesterday lifted the ban on cloning human embryos for stem cell research. The legislation was approved by a vote of 82 to 62 in the House of Representatives.
Prime Minister John Howard voted against it.
Opposition Labor Party leader Kevin Rudd voted against it.
Deputy Prime Minister Mark Vaile, leader of Nationals party voted against it. So are Howard’s deputy in ruling Liberal Party Peter Costello.

Just see how they vote. All vote according to their consciences. They don’t (need to) follow party lines. All the leaders voted against it. The ban still got lifted!
How do our MP vote?

There is no voting system among MPs, only the leader can make decision, if MPs never follow their leader, they’ll get sacked!
That’s why we should not have so many MP.
Just elect one PM and a deputy.
Save us all the money (and corruption). The decision is just by them, and only them, right?
Well, I guess to have all the MPs to camouflage for democracy.;)
