Mega Bloks

I had bought quite a few ‘building blocks’ for my kids.

The problem with these sets is that the blocks are small and hard to pulled apart once assembled.

So you can imagine my joy when I saw Mega bloks in The World of Cartoon.

mega bloks

These blocks are huge, fit nicely together and easy to ‘disengage’.

My happiness last until I see the price tag. RM119.90 for less than 80 blocks?

Then I check the price for Lego blocks. RM169.00

Gosh. Has our money depreciate that much? Rm2 per block? Can anyone tell me how much a piece of brick is worth? I don’t think it cost RM2.

I remember when I was about 10 or so, I beg my dad to buy me the Lassi (or Lacy? Leicy? ah, whatever it calls) worth about RM200.

After weeks (months?) of begging, he finally bought for me, with his 6 months saving. I would use tight (or skint?) to describe our then financial situation.

My point is, the blocks aren’t worth that much but because they know parents are willing to spend on their child, so they put up the price :)

I’ll tell you a true story later on :)

Eric, I have de-spam your post.
The block is named –> Lazzy, if I remember correctly.
I have that set too. A superb set, if you ask me.
It has those plastic tubes and wheels. Really can expand your imagination. Even comes with a manual with various diagrams.

Yup. RM160 for a simple set is simply overkill.
I would think that RM38 is a more likely price.

For a set like Lazzy, I think RM100 is reasonable.
