Only after I wipe clean my drive C, then I realised I haven’t do anything to backup my email!
Sigh. What is done is done.
I downloaded a new copy of Thunderbird and proceed to install it.

After I successfully launch it, I noticed … all my emails are intact! I always choose to have my email stored in drive D (my second harddisk), and Thunderbird is able to recognised it without being told, then configure to have the Inbox point to the same directory. Wow.
More amazingly, it is able to retrieve all my accounts login, servers etc. Amazing with a capital A !

there says ” there’s no free lunch”
but i think “free meals” on the internet are often the best!
eg, wordpress and picasa
Nice thing about Thunderbird is that the viruses are always set up to search for Outlooks Address page. From Thunderbirds Q&A page:
Is Thunderbird susceptible to e-mail viruses?
Thunderbird will not allow a virus or worm to execute automatically. You can see what attachments have been sent to you without a virus being able to execute, and you would have to save a file to your system and deliberately run it before it could cause any harm.
JavaScript is switched off by default for mail and news, so an e-mail cannot run script code just by being opened.
As with any mail program, take proper caution before running any file that you receive in e-mail. Appropriate anti-virus software should also help keep you safer.
~~~~~That is why I prefer it!~~~~~
One thing to remember is that your friends that use outlook are susseptiblle to viruses and their ineptitude may send a virus your way. If you get an email that ‘doesn’t look right’ email back to the friend and ask if they sent it. Better to wait than to be sorry. (:-)
