A client of mine showed me an application form for credit card just now.
Obviously I already have enough credit cards. I don’t need more of it.
When I politely decline, she said: It doesn’t cost you anything, and it will earn me some money.
She does have a point there.
Should I sign on it?

she is very funnyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
since u have got enuff, y not apply 1 for me, i sweep u pay, hahaha
Err… you are already married.
So SOMEONE will pay for you
i try to stay away from credit cards now
i’ve cancelled all my credit cards
or else i will end up in debts
the less card you have, the better off you will be….
As you know, I am really a stingy person.
Thus with or without a credit card, I still spend the bare minimum (but still, with a family, the spending is really a huge burden)
agree with eric. i only have cash card, how much i can spend depend on how many saving money i have.
If I were u, I will just sign up another one.
I already have plenty of credit cards, even Gold, platinum, etc.
if any telemarketing call me up to offer their card, a few questions I will ask: What can u offer me? What is the benefits? What is this card specialities ?
To Eric,
Credit Card is a good tool, if you know how to apply in right place, right time, to enjoy MORE.
hanneng, not many credit cards here do rewarding scheme, even those who do, are not really rewarding…
and the interest is like, at least 10% and some are 29.9%
at the moment, i only use cash card…
only spend what i’ve got
most important thing, do they charge subscription fees?
No
Usually they provide waiver for 2 years, minimum
u all make me very jealous eeee
i haven’t get a job..so cannot apply credit card still!!!
I thought you already had a job as secretary, teacher and clerk
princess, for your information
a credit card doesnt represent status, most of the malaysian still think that the more credit cards in hand, the higher status they are and the more face they have
in fact, the true is the more cards you have, the more likely you get into debt without knowing it…
and i think credit card gives a “i am rich, i’ve money to spedn!” feeling, which is unreal…
I just found this
look at Barclay Bank CEO’s statement on credit cards, it is interesting
http://www.oup.com/elt/catalogue/teachersites/oald7/newsreader/articles/credit_cards?cc=global
ok, the credit card markets are varies from country to country, eg: MY, SG, UK.
In SG, each eligible adult holds at least 4 credit cards. There will be NO interest if we pay on-time, NOT withdrawing cash from credit card. Most banks offer NO subscription fees as well.
Credit card is a very good cashless payment system. If you plan well, credit card is a very good tools in your financial saving.
Well, all depend on individual …
eric, i think u have misunderstood on me
i dun need the card to representing my status
but as what hanneng said and i know, credit card brings many benefits…
but 1st of all, you must take control on yourself while using the card….
may be i am using cash card most of the time, it is as convinient as credit card here, so i dont see the point getting more credit cards
yeah, it’s all down on individual
princess & hanneng, may be you are right, i almost forgot the hassle and insecurity carrying few thousand to buy something valueable…
