DVD player

Been looking for a DVD player for some weeks now.

The main feature that I am looking for is the ability of play .avi files.

I burned an avi into a piece of CD, and brought it along to the shop.

Tested it on a couple of players, and I am pretty satisfied with the performance.

I ended up buying

Pioneer DV383-S

What I really like is, (of course DVD run on it smoothly), even avi run on it so smoothly that you don’t really notice any … poor screen.

    Humph, wrong click. SIGH.

By the way, recently I saw this player thingie at my friend’s house.. which has the wireless antenna at the back and can detect the share files of the computers in the house. It can be integrated with XBOX too. Do we have that in Malaysia?

It is not about whether we have it here.
The price will kill most of us, not including WWC ^-^

For HK TV series, you can even put TWO avi files onto a single VCD.
    Haha. So convenient.
(Of course. DVD-R will accomodate more)

1 thing that I like DVD is that I only need to keep minimal pc of disc instead of several pcs for VCDs. Space is precious. I got a Philips DVD with recording functions. Quite cool though. However, sometimes this machine has some technical glitch which capable to drive you crazy. :P

Therefore, I urged you to put Philips in the bottom of your consideration list. hehehee .. I’ve Philips iron, fan, vacuum cleaner and rice cooker. Trust me, I’ve ‘enough’ of experience with them. :P

I have just got a Philips Diva Dry Iron from my credit card exchange point. Been using it for a week. So far so good. Lucky

I guess the worse performing Philips is in the Fan categories. Yea, it looks good with all the sophi remote ctrl and stuff but broke down less than a year. >:(
